Robert has often been described as a natural designer. It is in his genes, so to speak; his mother having a very good eye for art and colour and his dad being a highly talented engineer. At school Robert impressed the teachers with the speed at which he designed and made things, be it in wood, steel, stone, and many other materials. In 1972 Robert started his apprenticeship in mechanical engineering (building racing cars.)
Then in 1985 he set up an interior design business: Interior Crafts, where Robert was responsible for all the in-house designing, be it lighting systems, furniture, wall and floor coverings. It was not long before Robert was well established with a good reputation and high calibre clients. Interior Crafts has been successfully designing and making bespoke furniture for the past 21 years. clients include Top Shop, Harvey Nichols, Lynne franks, Vivien Westwood, Calvin Klein, etc.
Robert says his talent for innovative design comes from his abilities to recognize perfect design in the natural world of relativity, the way it functions, sustains itself and thus evolves on with purpose. Subjects such as cosmology, astronomy, physics, chemistry, biology, psychology, mathematics, music, art, quantum mechanics, meta-physics and ancient spiritual teachings, hold much more than just a fascination for Robert. Given his natural talents and long-held interest in the above subjects he says at times he can clearly recognize the primary forces that shape our secondary world of relativity.
Robert now runs the SOULMIRROR workshops for people wishing to expand their horizons by activating MIND-BODY-SPIRT balance.
